Summary
Mr. Vanech has a successful track record in all aspects of
non-utility power project development, acquisitions, finance and
general management. He has built and led teams in the
independent power industry in the U.S. and abroad.
Experience
Prior to founding Delta Power Company in 1997, from 1994 to 1997
Mr. Vanech was co-founder and President and CEO of Rolls-Royce
Power Ventures, Inc., based in Morristown, New Jersey (a
subsidiary of Rolls-Royce plc). Mr. Vanech opened three South
American offices and two North American offices focused on power
project development and investment activities principally
utilizing Roll-Royce products and services. His efforts led to
successful projects or project awards in Argentina, Brazil,
Colombia, Bolivia and the US. Mr. Vanech served as a director on
the UK board providing guidance and policy input for all
worldwide development activities. He directed the negotiations
of one of the first major projects in India that reached closure
in early 1995 and assembled several joint ventures in South
America with major corporate partners.
Prior to joining Rolls-Royce, Mr. Vanech served as Vice
President-Marketing for Enserch Development Corporation in
Florham Park, NJ from 1992 to 1994. While at Enserch, Mr. Vanech
created groups responsible for domestic acquisitions and
international project development. Under his direction, Enserch
secured development awards in India and acquisition awards in
the US. From 1990 to 1992, Mr. Vanech was Vice President with
Chrysler Capital Corporation in Stamford, Connecticut in the
Project Finance group. While at Chrysler, Mr. Vanech closed the
group’s first non-power project financing, the first fee
generating advisory and placement roles.
From 1986 to 1990, Mr. Vanech was Principal - Acquisitions and
Development for Catalyst Energy Corporation in New York, NY,
formerly a leading NYSE-listed independent power company. While
at Catalyst, he acted in various roles with responsibility for
several operating business units, managing acquisitions and
divestitures and serving on the company’s four-person executive
committee. Prior to joining Catalyst Energy, Mr. Vanech held
finance related positions with Lever Brothers Company in New
York City and with Hano Business Forms in Springfield, Mass.
Mr. Vanech served as one of two board members elected by his
industry colleagues to the National Independent Energy Producers
in Washington, DC (now part of the EPSA), the first national
lobby/trade group focused on the IPP industry. He has also
served on numerous panels and has presented speeches covering
the domestic and international power markets, and has been
featured in several industry publications.
Mr. Vanech holds a Bachelor of Science in Business
Administration (Marketing and Finance) from Western New England
College in Springfield, Mass. |
